Sales Engineer - Renewable Energy Position Summary The Sales Engineer supports the commercial organization by providing technical expertise throughout the sales cycle. This role ensures the technical accuracy of proposals, strengthens customer relationships, and contributes to securing new wind energy projects. Acting as a key interface between customers and internal technical teams, the Sales Engineer develops optimized technical solutions from early project evaluation through handover to Project Management. Responsibilities include preparing technical documentation, responding to client inquiries, supporting contract negotiations, and ensuring all technical requirements are addressed for both equipment supply and service agreements. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary technical resource for customer and Sales Manager inquiries during the sales process. Prepare technical responses for proposals, tenders, and deviation lists. Coordinate technical reviews across internal engineering and subjectmatter experts. Participate in customer meetings to explain, clarify, or negotiate technical scope; prepare and deliver technical presentations when needed. Prepare, review, and negotiate technical sections of turbine supply agreements, including scope of supply, performance guarantees, and warranty parameters. Develop and optimize technical project solutions, including turbine selection and configuration. Support the development of projectspecific technical options and requirements. Manage wind & site-related requests, site assessment reports, and customer communications about turbine suitability. Provide Sales Managers with uptodate technical information, such as power curves and thrust curves. Identify and track technical market trends, including grid requirements, climatic constraints, control strategies, cybersecurity, and interconnection factors. Contribute to the continuous improvement and standardization of the technical sales process. Prepare technical handover packages for Project Management and coordinate change requests for projectspecific technical solutions. Maintain technical turbine configuration details through the operational planning process. Travel to customer meetings and project sites as required (approximately 25%). Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications & Competencies Strong knowledge of energy production, power systems, and renewable energy technologies. Understanding of regulatory frameworks related to power generation and grid integration. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Excellent communication, negotiation, and customerfacing skills. High degree of integrity, motivation, and ability to work independently. Strong analytical thinking and problemsolving skills. Ability to work effectively in multicultural and crossfunctional environments. Willingness to learn, adapt, and remain current with evolving technical and regulatory requirements. Ability to travel regularly. Education Requirements Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Experience Requirements 3-7 years of experience in sales engineering, technical sales, or related engineering roles-preferably within renewable energy, power systems, or industrial equipment sectors. Additional Requirements Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required (up to 25%). Must have a valid driver's license and meet company driving eligibility requirements.
