The Armour Group Limited is seeking an Operations Project Manager to join our team.
Reporting to the Director, Asset Maintenance, the Operations Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing operational projects across the property management portfolio. This role focuses on improving efficiency, reducing costs, enhancing tenant satisfaction, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. The ideal candidate combines strong project management skills with a solid understanding of property management operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with tenant relations managers, maintenance teams, vendors, and leadership
- Identify inefficiencies in property operations and implement process improvements
- Standardize workflows across properties to increase consistency and performance
- Analyze operational data to support decision-making and continuous improvement
- Define project scope, goals, and success metrics in alignment with company objectives
- Lead end-to-end project execution, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and delivery
- Manage multiple concurrent projects across residential and/or commercial properties
- Monitor progress and adjust plans to ensure deadlines and budgets are met
- Serve as the main point of contact for project updates and issue resolution
- Communicate project status, risks, and outcomes to senior management/stakeholders
- Source, evaluate, and manage third-party vendors and contractors
- Ensure work quality, timelines, and compliance with contracts and regulations
- Negotiate contracts and monitor vendor performance
- Support capital planning, and forecasting initiatives
- Ensure projects comply with local regulations, safety standards, and company policies
- Such other similar and related duties as may be reasonably required by the Employer from time to time.
Qualifications/Experience :
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, (P.Eng. preferred)
- Current registration with Engineers NS (or willing to obtain)
- 3–7 years of experience in project management, preferably in property management or real estate
- Experience managing operational efficiency or process improvement projects
- Strong project management skills (PMP certification is an asset)
- Knowledge of property management operations (leasing, maintenance, tenant relations)
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Asana, MS Project) and other property management software
- Familiarity with electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems required.
- Valid drivers’ licence and clean drivers abstract required.
- Proven ability to communicate respectfully, honestly, and effectively.
