Responsibilities
- Perform testing, calibration, and verification of electronic circuits and devices using diagnostic tools such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, and signal generators.
- Record, analyze, and report test results, including failures, root causes, and corrective actions in a clear and organized manner.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electronic and electromechanical systems down to the component level.
- Assemble and wire electronic components, subassemblies, and prototype systems by following schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and PCB layouts.
- Assist engineers in building, testing, and refining prototype designs and supporting new product development initiatives, particularly for radio products.
- Maintain and update documentation, including test logs, procedures, and equipment calibration records to ensure accurate traceability.
- Support the design and construction of test fixtures, jigs, and diagnostic setups to improve testing efficiency and repeatability.
- Ensure compliance with safety, ESD, and quality control standards in all laboratory and production activities.
- Collaborate with engineering, warehouse, and quality teams to support smooth project execution and continuous improvement efforts.
Essential Skills
- Associate degree or certification in Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a closely related field.
- 25 years of relevant experience in electronic testing, repair, or manufacturing support, preferably in an engineering environment.
- Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit theory and operation.
- Proficiency with test and measurement instruments such as oscilloscopes and multimeters.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and PCB layouts.
- Skill in soldering and reworking through-hole (TH) and surface-mount (SMT) components.
- Experience diagnosing and troubleshooting electronic and electromechanical systems to the component level.
- Computer proficiency, including using Microsoft Office applications to document and record test results accurately.
- Ability to assemble and wire electronic components and subassemblies for prototypes and production support.
This position is based in an office and laboratory-style setting that supports electronic testing, prototype development, and engineering collaboration. You will work with test and measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, signal generators, and custom test fixtures on a daily basis. The standard schedule is approximately 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., including a 30-minute break. The environment is structured yet collaborative, with close interaction with engineering and technical teams and a focus on research and development of new products. Appropriate technical attire suitable for an office and electronics lab setting is expected, along with adherence to safety and ESD protection practices.
