Quality Engineering Specialist

Location: Mississauga, ON, Canada (onsite)
Salary Range: $59K-$85K annually
Vacancy Type: Existing position
Travel: Up to international travel (U.S., Mexico, Asia)

As our next Quality Engineering Specialist , youll be at the forefront of ensuring product quality and customer satisfaction by driving process improvements, leading problem-solving initiatives, and supporting new product development. Your expertise in quality engineering and manufacturing processes will be critical in maintaining high standards and achieving operational excellence.

• Ensure product quality meets customer requirements and expectations
• Lead problem-solving initiatives and guide teams in root cause analysis
• Manage non-conforming materials and determine disposition actions
• Develop and maintain strong customer and supplier relationships
• Initiate and manage corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
• Analyze statistical data and monitor quality performance using SPC
• Support scrap reduction and cost improvement initiatives
• Train staff on inspection standards, tools, and quality processes
• Support new product launches, including PPAP, FMEA, APQP, and control plans
• Assist production teams by resolving quality issues and improving processes

• Bachelors degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of quality tools such as SPC, FMEA, and root cause analysis
• Familiarity with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and quality assurance best practices
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines

• Advanced degree in Engineering or related field
• Powder Metallurgy Technologist (PMT) Certification or willingness to obtain it
• Experience with automotive or high-precision manufacturing environments
• Experience with error-proofing techniques and quality system implementation
