Position Summary
This role will have multiple responsibilities. We are currently designing and building a pilot plant facility. This role will have two phases: Construction and Operations
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
During construction
Attend and contribute to the Hazardous Operability studies for the pilot plant design
Assist in writing Standard Operating Procedures
Daily management of construction crew
Perform toolbox talk each morning
Perform Hazardous Risk Assessments during the construction process
Maintain project schedule and provide weekly updates to management
Manage all work orders
Manage all lockouts, confined space entries, and occupational hygiene
Receive all deliveries
During operations
Supervise the operations and maintenance teams
Operate equipment when required
Input and manage process data
Assist in data analytics
Flowsheet optimization
Schedule and manage sample analysis with external laboratories
Work flexible hours that could include nightshifts
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering with Chemical, Metallurgical, or Mechanical specialization
- Registered or ability to register as a PE in the state of Nevada
- 2-5 years of relevant experience, especially in metallurgical operations
- Highly organized and ability to multi-task essential
- Strong digital literacy in Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point
- Outstanding interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and comfortable making recommendations
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Capacity to work in a proactive manner and possess good time management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with others in a technical team-based environment
- Preference will be given to candidates with previous metallurgical pilot plant experience and/or industrial plant construction experience
- The Company conducts its work based out of a newly acquired location in Las Vegas, Nevada, locating to this area will be required.
