Position Title: Multi-Level Electrical Engineer

Work Location: Site/INTEC

Shift Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 4x10 s

Salary Grade: 14 Salary Range- Min: $68,395 Mid: $87,800 Max: $107,210

Salary Grade: 17 Salary Range- Min: $98,575 Mid: $126,305 Max: $154,030

Position Purpose:

The purpose of this position is to ensure the reliability, safety, and performance of plant electrical systems by providing expert maintenance, troubleshooting, and oversight. The position drives electrical system improvements by managing equipment upgrades, modernization efforts, and technical evaluations. This role also supports continuous and reliable plant operation by overseeing power distribution systems and ensuring electrical infrastructure meets operational demands. Additionally, this role leads and coordinates NFPA 70E electrical safety programs, ensuring compliance and safe work practices across operations.

Minimum Qualification Requirements (Education/Experience):

This is a multi-level posting and the successful candidate will be placed at the appropriate level dependent on depth and breadth of proven experience and skills. At the Idaho Environmental Coalition, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as education, relevant experience, and other credentials.

Must have a bachelor s degree in nuclear, mechanical, chemical, system or electrical engineering discipline.

Salary Grade 14: Bachelor's degree.

Salary Grade 17: Bachelor's degree plus 6 years relevant experience.

Position Responsibilities:

Perform electrical system upgrades to improve reliability, compliance, and operational performance.

Troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment, identifying root causes and implementing effective corrective actions.

Conduct instrumentation troubleshooting, including sensors, transmitters, PLC I/O, and related control elements.

Develop, review, and update SKM power system models for arcflash analyses.

Maintain ownership of assigned electrical systems, ensuring system health, documentation accuracy, and proactive lifecycle management.

Support design, installation, and commissioning activities, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.

Evaluate system performance data and recommend modifications or upgrades to improve safety, efficiency, and reliability.

Provide technical support to maintenance, operations, and project teams, including field walkdowns and troubleshooting assistance.

Develop and maintain technical documentation, drawings, specifications, and engineering changes.

Ensure compliance with electrical safety requirements, site procedures, NFPA 70/70E, and applicable DOE and industry standards.

Coordinate work with crossdisciplinary teams, contractors, and the customer to ensure alignment and timely completion of tasks.

Support preventive and predictive maintenance strategies, including component evaluations and lifecycle planning.
