Location : Richland WA 99354. The Project Manager - Nuclear Projects leads large-scale, high-risk nuclear projects exceeding $10M, overseeing multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality execution within schedule and budget. This role requires expert-level project management experience in a commercial nuclear environment, strong leadership, and the ability to manage outages, online work, and complex stakeholder coordination. Job Responsibilities: Plan, lead, control, and monitor nuclear projects including refueling outages, forced outages, and online work. Manage all phases of project execution, including budgeting, scheduling, risk management, procurement, and work package development. Ensure project work is performed safely, meets quality standards, and complies with nuclear and industrial safety requirements. Develop and manage project budgets; track cost performance and interface closely with finance and project controls. Create and maintain detailed project schedules to manage risk, critical path, float, and accountability. Coordinate cross-functional teams and multiple organizations to resolve schedule conflicts and execution challenges. Develop and manage vendor contracts and maintain effective supplier relationships. Communicate project status, risks, and performance through written and oral presentations to senior management and stakeholders. Mentor and coach less-experienced project managers and provide leadership support as needed. Support outage operations, OCC activities, and Self-Assessment and Corrective Action Program. Develop long-range project strategies aligned with organizational goals. Skills: Advanced project management methodologies for complex nuclear or high-hazard facilities. Outage management, online work management, and refueling/forced outage execution. Budget development, cost tracking, and financial controls for large capital projects. Risk management, schedule optimization, critical path, and float management. Knowledge of nuclear safety, ALARA planning, industrial safety, and clearance order processes. Contract development, vendor management, and procurement coordination. Strong understanding of nuclear regulatory requirements, codes, and compliance standards. Error reduction and human performance improvement techniques. Proficiency with project management and budget software (e.g., Passport) and MS Office. PMP certification (required for PM II and Senior PM roles). Education/Experience: High School.
