Sr. Mechanical Engineer

PROMAN Staffing is supporting our national manufacturing client in the search for a Senior Mechanical Engineer . This is a direct hire opportunity offering long-term stability, technical ownership, and the chance to work on complex, industrial-scale equipment used in real-world field and manufacturing environments. About the Role This position provides technical leadership in the design, development, and continuous improvement of mechanical systems and equipment. You'll work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and field teams to ensure designs are robust, cost-effective, manufacturable, and serviceable, while supporting production, installation, and ongoing improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Lead mechanical design of industrial equipment and systems from concept through production Create and review 3D models, assemblies, detailed drawings, BOMs, and specifications (SolidWorks preferred) Provide technical guidance to designers and junior engineers Support prototyping, testing, validation, manufacturing, and field troubleshooting Conduct basic engineering analysis (stress, load, tolerance); FEA exposure a plus Collaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement, and Field Service Ensure designs meet quality, safety, and documentation standards Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred) 7+ years of mechanical design experience (industrial equipment, machinery, or similar systems) Strong SolidWorks experience; AutoCAD a plus Solid understanding of GD&T (ASME Y14.5), materials, and manufacturing processes Experience supporting production and field environments Proven problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
