Project Coordinator
Location: Eau Claire, WI
Work Schedule: Monday Friday, 7:30 AM 4:00 PM (Primarily onsite; potential hybrid flexibility based on performance and business need)
Contract Type: 12-month contract
Pay Rate: $25.00 $28.00 per hour

Project Coordinator will support electric distribution operations within the NSPW region (Wisconsin and part of Michigan). This role provides coordination support to a team of four senior work coordinators and assists with lower-complexity tasks to allow senior staff to focus on higher-priority projects.

Project Coordinator is an integral part of the operations support team and plays a key role in maintaining scheduling accuracy, supporting construction readiness, and ensuring timely communication with both internal teams and external customers.

Project Coordinator Responsibilities:
  • Support senior work coordinators with daily scheduling adjustments based on resource availability, real-time progress updates, and priority changes
  • Assist with reviewing incoming work requests and managing lower-complexity coordination tasks
  • Review construction work packets to ensure completeness prior to scheduling
  • Prepare and verify locate tickets and confirm job readiness requirements
  • Coordinate required materials and equipment to support field execution
  • Maintain accurate system updates and documentation within scheduling platforms
  • Communicate schedule updates, delays, and impacts to internal coordination teams and external customers
  • Triage work rejections or scheduling conflicts and escalate appropriately
  • Partner with supervisors, operations leaders, and ancillary service providers to support efficient execution of distribution work

Project Coordinator Requirements:
  • 13 years of experience in coordination, dispatching, project support, or operations support roles
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Experience adjusting schedules or prioritizing work in a dynamic environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams)
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative, communication-heavy team environment
  • Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and motivated

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in utility, construction, or distribution operations environments
  • Familiarity with SAP, scheduling systems, or MWM
  • Exposure to construction work packets or locate ticket processes
  • Business, construction management, or related education background
