The Project Manager is responsible for managing manufacturingrelated project activities supporting Metamic (aluminum composite) panels, aluminum shims, and assembly of baskets and ancillaries at Holtec's Orrvilon Manufacturing Division. This role partners closely with Project Engineers, technical leadership, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure project execution aligns with scope, schedule, and quality objectives. The Project Manager will contribute to a projectdriven, highly integrated, and multinational engineering environment.
Location: Orrville, OH
Primary Responsibilities:
Manage project activities related to manufacturing and assembly operations
Partner with Project Engineers and technical leadership to plan, execute, forecast, prioritize, and assess project work
Coordinate resolution of technical items with internal stakeholders, project partners, and vendors
Track and execute approval of subcontractor deliverables
Develop and manage purchase orders, change orders, and contract documentation
Lead key project initiatives, including development of supporting documentation and procedures
Review vendor deliverables and products, providing critical comments and recommendations
Collaborate with multidisciplinary internal teams and external vendors
Prepare presentations and review department deliverables
Organize and track engineering and licensing documentation
Provide mentoring and guidance to Project team members
Support nontechnical logistics for permanent staff and contractors, including integration with Holtec software tools
Requirements:
Degree in Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline preferred.
5+ years of experience project managing in a heavy manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and multitask effectively
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with a proactive and reliable work style
Effective communication, interpersonal, and computer skills
High attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate, errorfree documentation and follow established processes
Ability to work effectively within diverse and challenging team environmentsWillingness and ability to learn and adapt in a technical manufacturing environment
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification a plus but not required.
Experience assessing multidisciplinary engineering work packages
