To reach this goal, w e are seeking an experienced Associate Enterprise Solutions Engineer to join our Albany, New York Team. In this role, you will support the production of critical communication and life safety system designs in K-12 schools and healthcare facilities aligned with customer needs and Company business strategy under the guidance of enterprise solutions engineers. Accountabilities Include:
- Support the design of Nurse Call, RTLS, Wander Management, patient information and entertainment displays, Public Address, clock, and other critical communication and life safety systems.
- Assist with providing cost determinations and budget estimations.
- Assist with performing needs assessments and site surveys.
- Assist with reviewing bid documents and sales orders.
- Collaborate with the Sales and other Company teams on sales opportunities to create quotes, proposals, bills of material, and scope of work definitions.
- Assist with validation of solution requirements, quotes and Scope of Work.
- Support creation and modification of applicable project drawings including floor plans, one-line, riser, and schematic wiring diagrams.
- Assist with reviewing bidding documents and Requests for Proposal (RFP) including plans, specifications, and addendums to create budgetary design and proposal.
- Assist with creating RFIs to address design issues identified in bid documents.
- Collaborate with project management and installation teams on scheduling, project requirements, and project design, deployment, and integration challenges.
- Support the installation phase of projects and ongoing service as appropriate.
- Assist with producing as-built drawings for project closeout.
- Assist with validating solutions and integrations in laboratory or development environments.
- Adhere to company and industry standards, building codes, and best practices for system designs.
- Maintain required manufacturer certifications and current knowledge of industry codes and standards, and technology business requirements, by participating in internal and manufacturer training, and self-directed research.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Associates degree in Electrical Technology, or vocational/military electronics training, or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD or similar design software for creating and editing technical drawings a plus.
- Basic math computation skills to include addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages and fractions.
- Computer skills to include understanding basic computer manipulation, managing computer files, word processing, using spreadsheets and databases, creating presentations, finding information, and communicating.
- Professional self-starter who is reliable, flexible, proactive, resilient, organized, and punctual.
- Effective use of Microsoft 365 suite of products.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively express ideas and information.
- Ability to thrive both independently and in a team environment.
