Mechanical engineering role focused on capital project design, equipment installation, commissioning, startup, and plant technical support. Job Requirements Mechanical engineering experience in an industrial plant or manufacturing environment

Experience supporting capital projects, plant technical support, and equipment deployment

Experience with mechanical design, machine specification, sizing, selection, and documentation

Experience creating mechanical part drawings, assembly drawings, schematic drawings, and layout drawings

Experience developing component specifications, bills of materials, and complete machine documentation packages

Experience supporting procurement, fabrication, factory acceptance, installation, commissioning, and startup of equipment

Experience working in brownfield and greenfield industrial environments

Ability to travel up to 30% annually, with potential for higher travel depending on project assignments

Ability to support on-site project work during installation, startup, ramp-up, holidays, and shutdowns

Preferred Skills Experience managing contract engineering resources

Experience conducting design studies and project pre-studies

Experience developing safety risk assessments

Experience preparing maintenance training documents, operator training documents, and user manuals

Experience with manufacturing process improvement

Experience supporting new product, process, or equipment startup

Experience working with engineering, product development, manufacturing, purchasing, quality, methods, and supplier teams

Job Responsibilities Complete mechanical, process, and installation activities for capital projects

Provide plant technical support to help meet productivity, quality, and market goals

Assist central engineering teams with pre-studies for deployment and development projects

Execute mechanical engineering design for assigned projects

Develop machine specifications, mechanical drawings, layout drawings, component specifications, bills of materials, and machine documentation packages

Follow mechanical design standards for equipment designs

Prepare project documentation, including technical offers, safety risk assessments, training documents, and user manuals

Facilitate procurement of equipment and materials for assigned projects

Perform equipment acceptance inspections for plant equipment

Coordinate with facility engineering, quality, methods, purchasing, and equipment suppliers to align system requirements

Manage installation, commissioning, startup, and ramp-up of equipment

Evaluate and improve manufacturing processes for safety, process capability, efficiency, and quality

Monitor process and equipment performance and implement corrective actions

Support production startup of new products, processes, and equipment

Review complex technical issues, evaluate options, and implement solutions

Assess system performance impacts related to operating conditions, environment, cost, and process changes
