Engineering Technician I Westborough, MA Are you passionate about precision and quality in engineering? Our client is seeking an Engineering Technician I to join their team in Westborough, MA. This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless assembly and inspection of press-fit components onto printed circuit boards, with a focus on machine operation and process optimization. Responsibilities of the Engineering Technician I Define and adjust press parameters such as force and speed to ensure proper connections. Set up and calibrate press-fit machines for various products. Develop tools and processes for press-fit components across multiple assemblies. Operate press-fit machines and tools to install components onto PCBs. Load PCBs and press-fit components into machines and monitor the process for smooth operation. Perform basic maintenance on machines and report any issues. Conduct visual inspections of components post-pressing to ensure quality. Requirements of the Engineering Technician I Knowledge of press-fit technology principles and machine operation. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues during the assembly process. Meticulous attention to detail for precise hole tolerances and component positioning. Associate degree in engineering or equivalent industry experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and ability to interpret mechanical drawings and specifications. Familiarity with industry standards such as IPC-610, ESD, ISO 9002, and other applicable ISO standards.
