Structural Analysis Engineer 3

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Structural Analysis Engineer 3 to support a leading aerospace client onsite in St. Louis, MO. This is a high-impact opportunity to contribute to next-generation aircraft programs focused on shaping the future of aerospace innovation.

Responsibilities of the Senior Structural Analysis Engineer:

• Lead the development, integration, and documentation of structural requirements to support system design and performance
• Analyze and verify structural integrity using analytical methods, finite element modeling (FEM), and advanced simulation tools
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering teams to define and validate the operational environment and system characteristics
• Drive design validation efforts through development of test plans, execution support, and detailed reporting of results
• Ensure compliance by documenting certification data and test outcomes for regulatory and customer requirements
• Lead investigations into in-service structural failures and drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Develop and enhance analysis tools and processes to improve efficiency and quality across the product lifecycle
• Operate with a high level of autonomy under minimal supervision

Qualifications of the Senior Structural Analysis Engineer:

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related technical field (ABET preferred)
• 10+ years of structural analysis experience
• 8+ years of aerospace experience, including analysis of primary structures, subsystems, or weapons systems
• Strong experience with:
• Hand calculations
• CAD tools (e.g., CATIA, NX/Teamcenter, SOLIDWORKS, AutoCAD, Pro-E)
• FEM tools (e.g., NASTRAN/PATRAN, Abaqus, Hyperworks, Stresscheck)
• Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred:

• Experience with (CAESAR, Lifeworks, Mechanica, Common Structures Workstation)

Additional Requirements:

• Must be able to work 100% onsite in the Greater St. Louis area
• Must be eligible to obtain a U.S. Secret or Top-Secret Security Clearance
• U.S. Citizenship required

Compensation and Benefits Information:

• Salary Range: $110,000-150,000+ depending on experience
