Our client seeks a senior IT Project Manager to lead enterprise data modernization initiatives focused on migrating legacy and isolated data platforms to cloud solutions on Databricks. The role manages high six-figure to low seven-figure projects and partners with engineering, architecture, infrastructure, and executive stakeholders to deliver outcomes on time, within scope, and on budget. The position requires hands-on leadership, clear executive communication, and proficiency with Smartsheet, Clarity, and Jira in a hybrid Agile environment. The Project Manager will drive risk, issue, and dependency management while ensuring alignment with governance and security standards.
Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.
Rate: $65.00 to $70.00/hr. w2
Responsibilities:
+ Lead end-to-end delivery of complex IT and data platform initiatives from initiation through closure.
+ Own and manage project scope, schedule, budget, risks, issues, and dependencies.
+ Drive execution of data platform migration projects, including movement of large data volumes from legacy systems into modern architectures.
+ Ensure alignment with enterprise IT, data governance, and security standards.
+ Develop, maintain, and actively manage detailed project plans, RAID logs, budgets, and schedules.
+ Serve as the primary point of accountability between technical teams and executive leadership.
+ Communicate risks, issues, trade-offs, and recommendations to enable leadership decision-making.
+ Prepare and deliver executive-level status reporting and presentations.
+ Facilitate discussions across engineering, architecture, infrastructure, and business stakeholders to drive alignment and resolve conflicts.
+ Lead projects in a Hybrid Agile environment and guide teams toward fully Agile delivery.
+ Apply Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid methodologies based on project needs.
+ Participate in and drive weekly or bi-weekly RAID
