This is a mostly remote position where you will be leading hardware and electronic design activities from concept through completion.

You must be open to coming onsite to the client's location at least 3-4 days per month, on average.

You will leverage skills and experience in high-speed electronic circuit design and work with 12-24 layer circuit boards used in automotive applications.

This is a long term, full-time, consulting position.

We are bringing more technology and more functionality and more configurability in a very small package. There are big challenges around circuit density. We are looking at taking existing designs, modernizing themwhich means miniaturizing them.

We are architecting next generation of automotive displays targeted at 2 things: 1.) HMI interface and then 2.) The infotainment systems

Job Title: Hardware Design Engineer

Responsibilities

Lead and collaborate with cross-functional development teams to drive products from requirements

definition through system architecture, detailed design, integration, validation, and production release.

Ensure designs meet applicable EMI/EMC, functional safety, and environmental standards (e.g., ISO 16750, ISO 7637, CISPR 25, ISO 26262).

Design and develop robust, reliable electronic circuits and assemblies for harsh automotive and off-highway environments, including power distribution, sensor interfaces, and control modules.

Work with high speed electronics and design complex circuit boards up to 12, 14 or 18 layers.

Qualifications:

5+ years of electrical engineering, product development experience

5+ years of high speed design experience.

Experience designing circuit boards with at least 12 layers

Proven ability to work remotely designing and debugging hardware

Ability to be onsite as needed for an average of 3 days/month in the Milwaukee area.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $80.00/hr.
