About the Job

Duties/responsibilities:

20% Maintenance of Hogan lab group experimental apparati and facilities

20% Lab Safety Records and Protocols

20% Lab Purchases

20% SOP development, and Report Preparation

20% Assistant Graduate Assistant and Post-doctoral Researchers in research

This position is not eligible for H-1B visa sponsorship.

Location: Hybrid UMTC, East Bank campus

Schedule:

Shifts: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

Some weekend availability as needed.

0.75% FTE

This is a temporary position (Duration: May 2026 - May 2028)

Qualifications

Required qualifications:

BA/BS/BEng degree in Engineering, or a combination of education and relevant work experience to equal at least four years

Experience with aerosol measurement equipment, including impactors and virtual impactors

Experience with preparation of SOPs

Experience with project management, including GANNT charts

Preferred qualifications:

Experience in operation and maintenance of ASHRAE 52.2. test compatible wind tunnels.

About the Department

The Department of Mechanical Engineering has an internationally recognized faculty, and is part of the College of Science and Engineering, the highly interdisciplinary college of engineering, physical sciences, and mathematics.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $57,699.20 per year; depending on education/qualifications/experience

Time Appointment: 75% Appointment

Position Type: Civil-Service & Non-Faculty Labor Represented Staff
