Technical Designer - Junior

Your Role

As a Gensler Technical Designer , you will collaborate with our design team to develop innovative and creative design solutions throughout all phases of our projects . You will be successful because you can clearly communicate design ideas both two- and three- dimensionally. Your communication skills extend beyond graphic s to both verbal and written form s, and your research techniques allow to you to quickly solve problems. can research artistic and/or technical issues when they arise. What You Will Do

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in an open, iterative design process to develop and refine design concepts

• Contribute to our design process across all project phases, including conceptual design , schematic design, design development, and construction documents

• Coordinate design documents with clients, consultants, contractors , and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives

• Create graphic presentations, 3d models and renderings, and design drawings

• Research and specify materials, building systems, and pro ducts

Your Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Architecture , or equivalent

• 0 - 5 years of related project experience

• Proficiency in physical modeling , digital modeling , and visualization using Rhino, Grasshopper, Revit , and Enscape

• Expert use of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)

• Demonstrated commitment to sustainability and sustainable building practices a plus ; p ortfolios ideally include one project with this particular focus

• Knowledge of materials, construction techniques, and building codes

• LEED accreditation a plus

• Demonstrated progress on AXP and/or ARE exams

• Excellent written, verbal, and graphic communication skills

*The base salary will be estimated between $75,000 - $82,000 annually, plus bonuses and benefits and contingent on relevant experience.
