Requirements:
BS Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with 2+ years relevant process engineering experience in a chemical or related manufacturing facility. Batch processing experience a plus.
Proven track record of process optimization and troubleshooting utilizing continuous improvement methodology and Root Cause Analysis. Lean Six Sigma ( LSS) experience desired.
Project management experience
Experience troubleshooting process equipment ( OEE) desired
Knowledgeable in PSM a plus
Responsibilities:
Support plant operations and investigates process, equipment, quality, and other problems or areas and determines appropriate solutions.
May have daily oversight, coordinate, or lead daily production, maintenance, quality control or related operations.
Responsibilities may include designing smaller projects and implementing portions of more complex projects. The Engineer may serve as a lead or supervise hourly, plant personnel and contractors.
Lead efforts to identify process improvement opportunities
Identify and monitor key process performance indicators to reveal process deficiencies.
Develop and design new processes and assist with facilitating and execution of capital projects.
Ensure that the process equipment and instrumentation are functioning properly
Collect and analyze data and develop reports to demonstrate process improvement opportunities
Provide technical expertise on process equipment and instrumentation to the other plant departments
Lead site engineering projects and provide ongoing plant operations support
