The University of Nevada, Las Vegas, invites applications for the Project Manager for the Office of Economic Development.

ROLE of the POSITION

The Project Manager ("PM") will support the Office of Economic Development ("OED") in managing the operational, marketing, and logistical aspects of the NSF Innovation Corps ("I-Corps") Desert and Pacific Region Hub program at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. This role is responsible forproject management of the I-Corps program, including meeting success metrics, timelines, and ensuring alignment with institutional and grant objectives. The Project Manager will plan, organize and implement the delivery of I-Corps courses and will participate in regional cohort activities. The PM will act as a point of contact for participating faculty, researchers, students, and will help to guide and train entrepreneurial teams. The Project Manager will report to the OED Director of Business and Finance ("DBF") and work closely with the Hub Lead Instructor and Principal Investigator/Interim Vice President for Economic Development.

The Project Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive integrated marketing and communication strategies aligned with OED and NSF program goals, managing program timelines, deliverables and stakeholder communications. The PM will coordinate with I-Corps constituents to promote success stories and best practices and will create and manage content for marketing channels (website, social media, newsletters, press releases). The PM will update and maintain the UNLV I-Corps website and digital platforms and ensure that all communications align with the UNLV, NSF and OED branding guidelines. The Project Manager will coordinate outreach across campus (faculty meetings, orientations, department presentations, student outreach), manage shared program documentation and communication channels, build and maintain stakeholder engagement pipelines and contact databases, participate in Hub-wide planning and marketing meetings, and ensure alignment across OED initiatives (RebelForge, SBDC, tech transfer) to avoid duplication or conflict.

In addition to operational and marketing responsibilities, the PM serves as the central coordinator of program execution and performance, ensuring initiatives are well planned, resourced and executed without conflict, as well as being responsible for continuous improvement of the UNLV I-Corps program. The PM will support and execute the deployment of I-Corps cohort training programs and will require a strong understanding of the startup ecosystem.

This position is grant-funded and contingent upon the availability of funding. As such, continuation of the position is dependent on ongoing financial support.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires a Bachelor's degree in business with a preference for focus in marketing, entrepreneurship, or other related concentration from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and three to five years of experience. Credentials must be obtained prior to the employment start date.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The preferred candidate will have experience in higher education, innovation programs, or economic development.

KNOWLEDGE

Required

Understanding of university technology commercialization and innovation ecosystems, Knowledge of marketing and communication strategies

Knowledge of digital tools and platforms for content and stakeholder management (e.g., Canva, Adobe, Capcut, Constant Contact, or other similar programs)

Knowledge of maintaining branding guidelines per the university and federal grant funding requirements

Knowledge of startup ecosystems and university-based ventures

Understanding of grant-funded program requirements and reporting

Experience with NSF I-Corps or similar innovation and entrepreneurship programs

Experience leading teams

Familiarity with analytics tools and university technology transfer data management systems (Minuet, Wellspring, KSS, Cayuse, etc)
