My client is seeking an experienced Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer to join their team. This position will play a key role in performing and overseeing technical designs, developing projects from conceptual to final design, preparing contract plans and documents, mentoring staff, and participating in business development, project pursuit, and client management activities.Responsibilities:Perform, manage, and oversee engineering design on water, wastewater, and stormwater projectsServe as technical design lead on multiple concurrent projectsConduct detailed engineering design, and review and prepare contract documentsProvide responsive client service through strong and timely communicationMentor junior staff to enhance their technical knowledge and support their career developmentAttend and present at client and public meetingsSupport business development efforts and manage project pursuitsCollaborate with internal teams across multiple disciplines and office locationsRequirements:Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental EngineeringProfessional Engineer (PE) license preferred8 to 15 years of relevant experience in water, wastewater, and stormwater engineeringStrong background in environmental engineering and modelingProficiency in AutoCAD and GIS softwareGrowth Opportunities:Strong emphasis on employee advancement and career developmentPotential pathway to project management or senior technical leadership positionsLocation:Preferred location is at the company's office in Hartford CT, with flexibility to work from other office locationsHybrid work schedule offered, allowing up to 2 days per week of remote workAbout the Company:My client is a well-established consulting engineering firm based in the New England area, offering expertise in transportation, traffic, structural, civil/site, and water/wastewater engineering.
