Our client, a Top 10 ENR-Ranked Water and employee-owned engineering and infrastructure consultancy is seeking a (Senior) Engineering Manager to join their Water & Wastewater division. This is a unique opportunity to lead high-impact municipal projects across the full project lifecycle, including traditional, design-build, and collaborative delivery models.The OpportunityIn this role, you will oversee the engineering execution of complex water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including advanced treatment facilities, underground conveyance systems, and sustainable, carbon-neutral solutions. You will:Lead multi-disciplinary engineering teams on large-scale municipal projectsManage project budgets, schedules, and client communicationsMentor and develop junior engineering staffEnsure technical excellence and compliance across all project phasesSupport business development and client engagement initiativesAbout the TeamThe successful candidate will join a nationally recognized water infrastructure team, consistently ranked among the top firms in water supply, wastewater, and environmental services. The team partners with public sector clients to modernize infrastructure, optimize asset performance, and deliver resilient, sustainable solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and review complex engineering deliverablesConduct technical research and develop equipment/material recommendationsLead project planning, budgeting, and quality assurance across disciplinesCoordinate with clients to understand project drivers and manage changeProvide technical leadership and serve as the responsible charge on projectsSupport hiring, mentoring, and performance management of engineering staffCandidate ProfileMinimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institutionMinimum of 8 years of relevant experience in water/wastewater infrastructureAbility to pass pre-employment screening (background check, drug screen, MVR)Preferred Qualifications:Professional Engineer (PE) licenseExperience in engineering consultingProven track record delivering multi-discipline WWTP upgrades and expansionsStrong leadership and client-facing communication skillsWork EnvironmentThis position offers a hybrid work model following an initial onboarding period. Occasional travel to client sites is expected.
