Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Water/Wastewater Hydraulic Modeler to support their expanding water infrastructure practice in Baltimore, MD. This role offers the opportunity to lead and contribute to impactful modeling projects focused on sanitary sewer collection systems and potable water distribution networks throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in hydraulic modeling, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for delivering high-quality solutions that support sustainable infrastructure planning and design. Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage hydraulic modeling tasks for water, wastewater, and stormwater systemsDevelop, update, and calibrate models using industry-standard software and GIS toolsAnalyze system performance, identify deficiencies, and propose planning and design solutionsPrepare technical deliverables including calculations, reports, and design documentationCoordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure project alignment and successMentor junior staff and provide technical guidance throughout the modeling processSupport proposal development and client presentationsConduct alternative studies and finalize reports for client reviewEnsure quality control and compliance with project standards and objectivesParticipate in client meetings and provide consultative support throughout project lifecycles Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering from an ABET-accredited program5+ years of experience in hydraulic modeling and water/wastewater infrastructure projectsProficiency with modeling software such as InfoWorks, WaterGEMS, XPSWMM, PCSWMM, KY Pipe, EPA-SWMMStrong skills in data management, transient analysis, and GIS integrationExcellent written, verbal, and presentation skillsFamiliarity with hydraulic design, sewer rehabilitation, engineering economics, and technical report writing Preferred QualificationsProfessional Engineer (PE) licenseExperience working with municipal clients in MarylandAdvanced degree in civil, environmental, or chemical engineeringKnowledge of alternative project delivery methodsExperience with local and state permitting and regulatory requirements Working ConditionsWork is primarily performed in an office environment with occasional field work. Field conditions may include exposure to varying weather and terrain. Some lifting (up to 25 lbs) may be required.
