Sr. Mechanical Engineer

To Apply for this Job Click Here Our client is seeking an experienced senior mechanical engineer in the South of the Greater Nashville area. The Senior Mechanical Engineer performs hands-on product design, computer analysis, and technical development for new capital machinery products and technologies using successful interaction with vendors, internal team members, and customers. Sr Mechanical Engineer Responsibilities: Lead Design and Drawing Reviews, Heavy machinery, preferably food processing equipment Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Six Sigma (DFSS), and Design for Manufacturing Assembly (DFMA). Design components to be manufactured via machining, sheet metal bending/rolling, welding, CNC machining and other related processes using Autodesk Inventor CAD models and drawings. Occasional travel (25%) to client sites for support and troubleshooting Deliver presentations to cross-functional teams and management Sr Mechanical Engineer Requirements: B.S. in Mechanical Engineering minimum, Masters preferred minimum of 5 years of experience with M.S., or 8 years with B.S. plus leadership experience 3D CAD modeling/drawing with AutoDesk Inventor preferred Ability to perform structural FEA using MSC Nastran or similar, to accurately predict performance.
