Private label and Branded manufacturer in search for Strong Sweater/ knits technical designer. for their Women's & Kids Must have knits and Sweater experience, spec packages. Handle all fittings on Live and Mannequin, send comments and coordinate with design. Generating all specs and making corrections as needed,. Communicating comments and/or corrections to factories. Candidates for this position should be organized; detail oriented and has excellent communication skills. This position is primarily responsible for maintaining the consistency of fit and quality through the fit-development process and written technical specifications as appropriate by Brand. Evaluates the garment fit integrity and implements the construction of all styles within the scope of responsibility. Works closely with Senior Technical Designer/Technical Designer to continually broaden technical knowledge and to elevate the quality of the product. Ensures Brand integrity throughout fit development process while keeping the customer in mind. FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Audit fit specifications on both live models and mannequins using appropriate samples of assigned products. Make appropriate recommendations in collaboration with peer teams on matters pertaining to specs, pattern, construction methods, and techniques to improve fit, balance, and overall quality of the garment. Execute tech packs from concept to PP/TOP of assigned and additional product classifications as directed. Partner with Technical Design Team, Merchants, and Designers to establish the direction of the fit and garment details. Communicate with vendors regarding fit, specs, and construction; maintain accurate records of reports and vendor communications. Organize and prioritize daily workload of assigned product lines to meet all deadlines. Support Senior Technical Designer in measuring and prepping for fit. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or equivalent experience. 3+ years in apparel industry in technical design Web PDM or comparable, software com, computer literate including Excel/Word/PRM/Adobe Illustrator Good understanding of fit, balance and garment construction Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent time management skills High level of self-motivation and creative problem solving ability Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office 4 days in office one day work from home or in office as needed Salary: $75,000 - $80,000 per year
