We are a 5 year running Top Workplace in the Greater St. Louis area. Job Summary Leonardo DRS Land Systems is seeking a full time Electrical Engineer I. This position is based out of our Bridgeton, MO facility and will have the option to work an in person or hybrid schedule. This position is involved with the design, development, modification and analysis of various electronics systems. This may include Hardware, Power Engineering, Power Electronic Engineering, Electromagnetic Engineering, Integrated Circuit Engineering, Components or others. Job Responsibilities

Design, develop, analyze, document and support testing of products, systems or subsystems

Support and participate in technical activity

Review customer specifications and requirements, and under direction, develop designs to best support them, including cost as a key design variable

Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions in existing products or systems and makes modifications as needed

Assist engineers in designing and maintaining system Interface Control Documents (ICD)

Compile and evaluate design and test data

Analyze, develop and recommend design approaches

May use computer-aided engineering or other design/analysis software in the performance of assignments

Ability to work independently under supervision of others

Provide regular reporting of progress and status

Responsible for completion of assigned task on time and meeting technical requirements

Specify and evaluate supplier components, subsystems and services

Support the program design to cost and design for manufacture requirements

Develop prototypes to retire key development risks as directed

Communicate clearly (written and oral) with other company personnel and the customer as required

May participate in preparation of less complex proposals

Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization

Attend appropriate engineering, customer or business meetings

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field

Excellent analytical and communication skills, written and verbal

Experience using Microsoft Office tools

Experience with using modeling software such as schematic capture and PC layout tools is a plus

Ability to read and understand commercial and/or military electrical drawings is a plus

U.S. Citizenship required. This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.

The salary range for this position is $66,049.00/year- $85,864.00/year for the state of Illinois. This range reflects the good faith estimate of pay the employer is willing to offer at the time of posting. Several factors can influence the pay scale, including but not limited to: Federal contract labor categories and contract wage rates, collective bargaining agreements, geographic location, business considerations, scope, and responsibilities of the position, local or other applicable market conditions, and internal equity. Other factors include the candidate's qualifications such as prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education/training, and certifications. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for: annual performance-based bonuses, equity awards, and overtime pay (for non-exempt employees as applicable.
