3-5 years of experience designing custom electrical switchgear

Experience designing low-voltage and medium-voltage electrical switchgear

Experience developing engineered-to-order electrical solutions

Experience creating one-line diagrams

Experience creating electrical schematics

Experience creating panel layouts for custom switchgear assemblies

Knowledge of ANSI standards

Knowledge of IEEE standards

Knowledge of NEC standards

Experience designing switchgear to customer specifications, industry standards, and manufacturing requirements

Experience performing short-circuit studies

Experience performing coordination studies

Experience performing arc-flash studies

Experience providing technical support during switchgear build and testing

Preferred Skills Custom switchgear assembly design experience

Experience designing manufacturable electrical equipment

Experience collaborating with sales, customers, and manufacturing teams

Experience supporting cost, schedule, and performance goals

Experience reviewing switchgear designs for quality, reliability, regulatory compliance, and manufacturing feasibility

Experience troubleshooting design, build, testing, or performance issues

Job Responsibilities Design custom low-voltage and medium-voltage electrical switchgear

Develop engineered-to-order switchgear solutions based on customer specifications

Create one-line diagrams, schematics, and panel layouts

Ensure switchgear designs comply with ANSI, IEEE, and NEC standards

Collaborate with sales, customers, and manufacturing teams on custom design requirements

Develop practical and manufacturable switchgear designs

Support cost, schedule, and performance goals for custom switchgear projects

Perform short-circuit, coordination, and arc-flash studies

Validate performance and safety of custom-designed switchgear systems

Provide technical support during switchgear build and testing

Ensure custom switchgear designs meet quality, reliability, and regulatory expectations

Produce design documentation required for manufacturing, testing, and customer review
