Raytheon's Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) Surface Radars & Sensors Center is seeking experienced Principal Systems Engineers with a background in Naval Radar engineering. This role provides technical leadership for the hardware and software integration of a complex radar system. The Principal Systems Engineer will work closely with engineering and program management teams, apply best practices, mentor team members, and capture lessons learned to improve integration processes and schedules. Responsibilities include planning and managing milestones, balancing competing priorities, and supporting both internal and external customers. Engineers in this role perform radar data analysis and tracking, develop and manage system requirements, integrate hardware and software, create test plans and procedures, evaluate system functions and interfaces, and verify requirements in support of system selloff. This position requires minimal oversight and includes coaching and reviewing the work of other engineers. The Principal Systems Engineer will contribute to the development of new procedures, processes, analyses, and standards. Technical expertise and the ability to independently make informed decisions will be critical to the success of complex integration efforts.
