Project Engineer
Our Idaho Falls team is growing! We are looking for a Project Engineer to support and lead advanced reactor programs for the nuclear power industry, driving innovation in next generation energy technology . As the Project Engineer, you will support the planning, design, testing, implementation and integration of mechanical assemblies and instrumentation and control systems for a variety of engineering solutions ensuring customer satisfaction and project success. The role collaborates with cross-functional teams, provides technical guidance, and ensures products and systems meet engineering standards, cost targets, and performance requirements.

Salary Information : $70,000 - $115,000 per year

Your Challenge:
Perform software and hardware requirements capture.
Facilitate effective project execution and cross-functional communication.
Manage/maintain system interfaces with both internal and external cross-functional teams
Provide technical input to project schedules, cost estimates, and risk assessments.
Ensure that engineering work complies with codes, standards, and project requirements.
Work closely with the Project Manager to translate project plans into engineering deliverables.
Work closely with Project Managers to ensure projects are properly staffed
Help identify project risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies.
Track engineering deliverables to maintain project schedule and budget and to manage project risks.
Coordinate with customers and team members to ensure the system design meets customer and regulatory requirements
Ensure project personnel follow established guidelines and procedures to ensure technical standards are met
Demonstrate a strong customer focus by listening to, recognizing, and responding to customer input in an effective, timely and courteous manner
Take initiative as problems and opportunities arise by anticipating and meeting customer needs and company expectations
Participate in process improvement
What You Bring:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical degree
5+ years of engineering experience involving design, analysis, testing, or system implementation
Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation
Ability to work a professional work schedule in an office environment
Good oral and written communication skills
Ability to lead work and ability to make technical project decisions and give direction to others
Ability to travel both domestically and internationally (less than 10%)
Preferred:
Experience with analog and digital electronic circuits
Experience with data acquisition systems, servers, workstations, networks, and/or AC and DC wiring
Familiarity with performing formal testing/integration, automated testing, including software unit testing and integration of software with hardware as well as creating and executing system test procedures
Experience developing proposals and bidding projects
Experience working in the nuclear industry or another highly regulated environment.
