Job Summary:
We are seeking an Energy Project Manager to support energy management initiatives across the Mount Sinai Health System. This role focuses on reducing energy usage and carbon footprint through data analysis, energy projects and system optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Energy Management Plans
- Perform energy audits, retro-commissioning, and system optimization
- Manage energy projects and conservation initiatives
- Analyze and report on energy data, KPI’s and performance metrics
- Ensure compliance with Local Lawas 84, 87 and 97
- Oversee consultants, contractors, and vendors
- Support energy budgets and financial modeling
- Identify and secure energy incentives (NYSERDA, Con Edison)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on energy efficiency initiatives
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Energy Management, Environmental Science or related field
- 3 to 5+ years of energy management and facilities experience
- Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical, lighting, and BAS/BMS systems
- Experience with energy data analysis tools (e.g., ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager)
- Strong communication and analytical skills
Required Certifications:
- Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or Certified Energy Auditor (CEA)
Preferred:
- Certified Measurement & Verification Professional (CMVP)
Salary:
- $100,000 - $130,000 annually
