Looking for real engineering work, hands-on problem solving, and projects that actually get built?

At American Crane & Equipment Corporation (ACECO), we design and manufacture custom crane, hoist, and industrial control systems used in demanding industries including nuclear, aerospace, defense, and heavy manufacturing.

We are currently hiring Electrical Engineers at multiple experience levels ranging from early-career engineers to highly experienced senior engineers.

Whether you’re building foundational engineering experience or leading complex industrial electrical design work, this role offers the opportunity to work on real equipment with real-world impact.

This is not a purely theoretical engineering environment—your work directly supports equipment that gets manufactured, tested, installed, and used in mission-critical applications.

You won’t get lost here—your work will be seen, and it will matter.

What This Role Really Is

This is a hands-on industrial electrical engineering role focused on electrical design, industrial controls, troubleshooting, and practical engineering problem solving tied directly to manufacturing and field performance.

Depending on experience level, responsibilities may range from supporting engineering projects under mentorship to independently leading electrical design scope on highly customized industrial systems.

Who Thrives Here (and Who Doesn’t) You’ll do well here if you:
  • Take ownership of your work and engineering decisions
  • Enjoy solving practical electrical engineering problems
  • Want exposure to real-world manufacturing and industrial systems
  • Collaborate effectively across engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams
  • Stay curious, open to feedback, and willing to learn
This role is likely not a fit if you:
  • Prefer highly segmented engineering work with limited ownership
  • Want to avoid accountability for engineering outcomes
  • Prefer purely academic or theoretical engineering environments
  • Struggle working in collaborative, fast-moving project environments
What Success Looks Like (First 90 Days) Entry-Level Engineers
  • Learn ACECO engineering standards, workflows, and systems
  • Support electrical schematics, documentation, and engineering reviews
  • Build familiarity with industrial electrical systems and controls
  • Develop working relationships across Engineering and Manufacturing
Mid-Level & Senior Engineers
  • Contribute independently to electrical design and troubleshooting activities
  • Support cross-functional engineering and manufacturing problem solving
  • Begin owning electrical scope on assigned projects
  • Mentor less experienced engineers where applicable
