Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Promotes the Company’s mission and valuesbased culture through professionalism, commitment to quality standards, and customerfocused service
- Creates and works claims from incoming customer calls and e-mails
- Provides technical advice to customers, Designers, and Engineers
- Assists field personnel with solutions for installationrelated issues and repair techniques
- Interfaces with Quality, Manufacturing, Design, and Engineering regarding reoccurring field problems
- Production Audits as required
- Maintains knowledge of all Porter Corp product lines while having specialized knowledge of specific products
- Other duties may be assigned by Manager or Supervisor
Education and/or Experience
- An Associate’s degree or engineering technology degree
- Experience and understanding with construction trades and processes
- Experience and understanding of manufacturing fabrication and processes
Travel
When appropriate, to meet with customers and suppliers off site to investigate non-conformances, facilitate implementation of corrective actions and improve business relationships
Computer Skills
- Demonstrated proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel, Epicor, Teams, PDF tools, and PRO.FILE
- Proficient in using SolidWorks to review and interpret engineering drawings and models.
- Experience with utilizing an ERP system to collaborate across departments
Other Requirements
- Must possess and utilize a knowledge of the manufacturing processes of the company
- Knowledge of customer quality requirements and reasons for establishing these requirements
- Must have working knowledge of continuous improvement tools and their proper application to problem solving
- Ability to effectively communicate through both e-mail and telephone
- Proficiency of technical aspects of Porter Corp. products
- Able to work with minimal supervision
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
