In this role, you will:
Support 2nd Shift operations
Work with a team of engineers who are the primary technical authority for the Propulsion, Structures, Ordnance and Controls, and Thermal Protection elements of the Conventional Prompt Strike (CPS) All Up Round (AUR) at the manufacturing center.
Drive collaboration between your team and other adjacent organizations such as Systems Engineering, Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Flight Sciences, NG&C, etc. to ensure appropriate technical rigor is always achieved in a timeline that supports program commitments.
Develop and maintain close team relationships to foster partnership in all outcomes.
Support program priorities and schedules and maintain accountability to achieve key milestones and deliver value.
Reinforce the Design for Manufacturability mindset throughout the organization and drive outcomes to achieve efficient and affordable AUR production.
Present occasional technical status and issue resolution to program leadership, customers, and other applicable stakeholders.
Maximize collaboration within the team and help to foster a culture of technical excellence with a laser focus on production support. Progressive experience in the design, development, and integration of aerospace, defense or other complex systems.
Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and tools
Experience with risk management and mitigation strategies
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance - must be a U.S. Citizen Active Secret clearance
Experience operating through the full lifecycle development process with an emphasis on development, production, and sustainment
Proven ability to effectively manage and complete complex technical problems
Deep technical understanding of missile system disciplines, including but not limited to:
Propulsion systems and energetics
Structural Systems
Thermal protection systems
Ordnance and Control systems
System integration and testing
Non-conformance disposition in a Quality Management system
