Summary

The Project Manager oversees the planning, implementation, and tracking of complex projects, which have a beginning, an end and specified deliverables. Focuses on meeting project commitments, including communications with sponsors, stakeholders, customers and department personnel.

Essential Functions

  • Lead planning and/or implementation of multiple projects simultaneously, while keeping all phases of each project within the parameters of cost estimates and completion schedules.
  • Process system projects through the engineering, installation, start-up, debug, customer sign-off, and payment in full from customer.
  • Review customer specifications and purchase order for compliance with our proposal.
  • Keep all phases of the project within the parameters of our cost estimate and completion schedule.
  • Initiate customer invoicing on a timely basis throughout the project.
  • Negotiate and transmit engineering requirements to outside suppliers (i.e., PLC supplier, installer, etc.).
  • Prepare engineering drawings and related parts load.
  • Assist our field supervisor with start-up and debug when required.
  • Maintain constant and excellent communication and rapport with the customer.
  • Perform other related responsibilities as needed and as assigned.

Minimum Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree – preferably in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering combined with AUTO-CAD and computer aided design experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of successfully managing various projects or equivalent combination of education and experience. Thorough understanding of project management phases, techniques and tools.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of electrostatic painting finishing equipment.

Preferred Qualification

  • In depth knowledge of Binks systems products, fundamentals of electrostatics and paint application processes, and general understanding of industrial control systems.
  • Critical Thinking & Problem Solving – ability to recognize problems, evaluate alternatives and identify solutions using a systematic approach.
  • Collaboration – ability to pro-actively engage and build coalitions among various stakeholders, consult and provide advice and build cross-functional relationships to accomplish work objectives.
  • Communicate effectively by conveying project goals and objectives in a clear and compelling manner; listen effectively and clarifies information as needed; ensures that project status, issues and successes are communicated and properly documented to project team, stakeholders, customers and all levels of management.
  • Self-motivated, energetic, well organized and able to manage multiple priorities.

Travel

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some projects may require more out of the area and overnight travel.
