Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer to join our Aerospace Engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, analysis, testing, and integration of mechanical systems and components for aerospace applications including aircraft, spacecraft, and defense systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop mechanical components and systems used in aerospace platforms (e.g., propulsion, airframes, avionics enclosures, or thermal systems).

• Perform detailed CAD modeling, 2D drafting, and tolerance stack-up analysis using tools such as SolidWorks, CATIA, or Siemens NX.

• Conduct structural, thermal, and vibration analyses using FEA tools like ANSYS or NASTRAN.

• Support prototype builds, testing, and validation of mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with aerospace standards.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including electrical, systems, and manufacturing engineers.

• Create and maintain engineering documentation including specifications, BOMs, test plans, and design reports.

• Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

• Ensure designs meet FAA, NASA, or DoD requirements depending on the program.

• Provide support during production and integration phases to resolve technical issues.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering (Master's preferred).

• 2-5+ years of experience in mechanical design or analysis, preferably in the aerospace or defense sector.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in CAD and FEA tools (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, NX, ANSYS).

• Knowledge of aerospace materials, manufacturing processes, and GD&T.

• Understanding of thermal management, vibration analysis, and lightweight structural design.

• Familiarity with aerospace standards such as AS9100, MIL-STD, or FAA regulations.

Soft Skills:

• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with propulsion systems, aircraft structures, or satellite subsystems.

• Hands-on experience with additive manufacturing or composites.

• Security clearance (or ability to obtain one) for defense-related projects.
