Primary Purpose:
The Engineering Technician assists project engineering, process engineering and manufacturing departments in process or product documention and experimention.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Be accountable for working safely by following all safety rules and safe work practices.
  • Participe in and lead safety improvement activities.
  • Interpret blueprint, drawings, and customer specificions to produce and colle technique cards to meet customer, industry specificions and company requirements.
  • Use CAD software to produce images for work instructions, and extract da from customer models.
  • Develop/design fixturing used for casting production. Work with manufacturing personnel and vendors to optimize designs for ergonomics, ease of use and cost to manufacture.
  • Design tools, inspection and manufacturing aids, using additive manufacturing. (3D printing)
  • Participion in improvement teams. Assists or manages implemention of ideas.
  • Identifies areas to improve ergonomics, quality, and efficiency through use of mechanical devices, fixturing, tool rework, work instructions or other manufacturing aids.
  • Assist Project and Process Engineers in implementing and monitoring special tests, compilion, and analysis of da for stistical analysis and first Article documention.
  • Assists in the development of standards and metrics in a variety of areas and programs to support business plans.
  • Work with operions, P&IC, Sales, quality, and customers to resolve production part reled issues.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualificions and Experience:
  • Completion of a two-year (associe) degree or a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in engineering or manufacturing, with preference given to experience in investment castings.
  • Understanding of stistical evaluion, da analysis and experimention techniques.
  • Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, and CAD Software; Syteline desirable.
  • Ability to verbally communice effectively to vendors, customers, and ALL company disciplines.
  • Ability to effectively communice in written form with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to organize and schedule work effectively, meeting timeline, priorities, and schedule requirements.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of blueprints and drafting practices and basic dimensional equipment (ability to use calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools).
  • Must be least 18 years of age.
  • Must be willing to undergo a pre-employment background check.
  • Must be willing to participe in pre-employment and periodic drug screening.

Work Conditions:
  • Office within manufacturing facility
  • Physical Demands: Sitting for long periods of time, able to lift up to 10lbs, extended periods of time using a computer screen.

Schedule:
  • Day, hourly
