Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Electrical Engineer to join our team within the Maintenance Department. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and efficiency of our plant's electrical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain regular and dependable attendance as a key requirement of the job.
  • Serve as the Site Electrical Engineer, providing support to the Maintenance Department.
  • Update and maintain plant electrical single line diagrams and associated Arc Flash Analysis and Labeling.
  • Act as an Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) for NFPA 70E compliance.
  • Specify appropriate Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) programs.
  • Possess knowledge of PLCs, Instruments, DCS systems, UPS systems, and low voltage ( Essential Skills

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university or college.
    • Minimum 2 years experience with PLCs, HMIs, AC/DC drives and motors, low and medium power distribution, substations, and power distribution equipment (transformers, circuit breakers, cables, etc.).
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in Facility Engineering.
    • Experience in Chemical Manufacturing with Process Safety Management (PSM) is preferred.
    • Root Cause Failure Analysis and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), Thermography, and Motor Circuit Analysis experience are desired.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Decatur, AL.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $43.27 - $55.28/hr.
