Role Summary
The Electrical Engineering Manager oversees a team of electrical engineers, providing leadership, technical guidance, and project management support across multiple initiatives. This role involves designing, analyzing, and coordinating electrical engineering activities to ensure project success and organizational excellence. The position requires a strategic thinker capable of managing staff, maintaining safety standards, and driving technical innovation within the company.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise electrical engineering staff, including hiring, training, evaluating, and terminating personnel.
  • Develop and implement departmental and individual goals aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Oversee electrical design, analysis, and review activities supporting field and fabrication projects.
  • Ensure all engineering practices comply with applicable industry standards such as NFPA, IEEE, and API codes.
  • Coordinate with project managers, clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to facilitate project delivery.
  • Conduct project meetings, prepare technical presentations, and serve as the technical authority within the organization.
  • Review operational procedures to maintain compliance with company policies and performance metrics.
  • Stay informed of industry advancements, recommending new practices or modifications to existing programs.
  • Manage multiple project schedules, document preparation, and resource allocation.
  • Maintain a strong safety culture, supporting company commitments to safety and ethical standards.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience, including at least 2 years in engineering supervisory or project management roles.
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university; Masters degree preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or commitment to obtain licensure preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of industry standards such as NFPA, IEEE, and API codes and practices.
  • Proven experience with construction methods and best practices in electrical engineering projects.
  • Familiarity with project management processes, metrics, and scheduling.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience delegating work and planning resources across multiple responsibilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ETAP, EasyPower, SKM, PSS, or similar modeling software preferred.
  • Understanding of AutoCAD processes is desirable.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work occasional overtime and travel as required.

Publishing Pay Range: $168,000.00 - $170,000.00 Annually

This is a fully remote role and can be performed from an approved location.
