To drive new product introduction for PSBU (Cable Harness) leading a team comprising of Engineer and Asst Engineer or GET
Our Team
Coordinate with GSM, Product Marketing, MIE/Process Engineering, Sourcing and All Manufacturing related departments' customers, Suppliers (Whenever applicable)
What You Will Do
- Process owner for multiple accounts & lead new product development for those given accounts through CFT via Product development cycle.
- Participate in customer call related to the project irrespective of time zone
- Review VOC to determine the feasibility followed by developing the Concept / Technical Specification
- Lead and guide the team in Design Reviews & participate in pFMEA, Design for Manufacturability reviews.
- Evaluate samples and remove constraints if there is any in case of new process coming in way
- Visit customer along with GSM and Product marketing team to participate in technical review
- Review Drawings and specifications before release in system
- Review proposed production process flow and Evaluating product design changes arising there of.
- Review product qualification plans and reliability test sequences needed to ensure product is developed meeting all quality requirement
- Disposition of product approval and tool qualification requests.
- Disposition First Article Inspection reports on new /refurbished tooling for existing products.
- Interaction with the various engineering centers of Molex for getting information as and when required.
- Initiate team reviews when a project becomes critical and obtain management support when required.
- Maintain & Facilitate Process Change Request
- Drive for continuous improvement in respective areas
- Develop Training Plans for team members and work with Training & development teams to organize the identified training.
- Collaborate with Respective manager to create JD & Competency matrix.
- Work with team members to develop RRE and conduct periodic performance review
- Ensure compliance with all Molex policies & procedures in all related areas
- Any other projects/work assigned by management
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Graduate in Engineering - Mechanical/ Electrical or Electronics
- Strong Experience in Wiring Harnesses
- 8 + years Post Qualification experience in Product development field
- 3 + years as minimum managing people
- Hands on experience in design S/W like Pro E, NX (UG)
- Hands on experience in Product Development Process
- Hands on experience in Change Management Process
- Hands on experience in DFMEA, DMF, APQP and PPAP
