Project Manager Overview:

• Were partnered with a growing commercial flooring contractor in the Austin market and seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee and deliver high-quality flooring projects.
• This role is responsible for managing commercial and multifamily flooring projects from pre-construction through close-out, ensuring jobs are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• The ideal candidate brings strong project management experience, field coordination expertise, and the ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously.

What Youll Be Doing:

• Act as the primary point of contact for assigned projects from kickoff through final invoicing
• Plan, coordinate, and oversee all aspects of commercial flooring projects, including schedules, budgets, and deliverables
• Manage relationships with General Contractors, clients, vendors, and installation teams
• Attend construction meetings and maintain alignment with GC schedules and timelines
• Oversee field operations to ensure installations meet plans, specifications, and quality standards
• Coordinate multiple installation crews and ensure efficient project execution
• Prepare and issue detailed installer work orders
• Track project progress, milestones, and completion timelines

Financial & Operational Oversight:

• Manage project budgets and ensure profitability of each project
• Support bidding and estimating efforts, including take-offs and pricing
• Order and track project materials for timely delivery and cost control
• Negotiate and track change orders
• Ensure timely completion of punch lists and project close-out documentation, including warranties

Technical & Quality Management:

• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents
• Utilize take-off and estimating software for project planning
• Verify quality of installations, workmanship, and job site performance
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and project requirements

What Were Looking For:

• 5+ years of experience in commercial flooring project management
• Strong background in new construction projects (commercial and/or multifamily)
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously (ideally $500K+ scope)
• Proven ability to coordinate field teams and installation crews
• Solid understanding of flooring systems, materials, and installation methods
• Strong communication skills with both clients and internal teams
• Highly organized with strong time management and problem-solving abilities
• Proficient in blueprint reading and take-off/estimating software
• Strong math, budgeting, and analytical skills
• Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment

Education:

• Bachelors degree preferred (Construction Management, Business, or related field)
