Project Coordinator Location: Remote Pay Range: $35-$45/hr. 12-24 Month Contract This is to support major New England Utility for Transmission Line and Substation project across the region. Job Summary Project Coordinator will serve as the bridge between engineering, construction, procurement, and field operations. Facilitate capital infrastructure projects--such as transmission lines and substation upgrades--by managing scheduling, outage requests, material logistics, permitting, and stakeholder communications to ensure projects adhere to timelines and budgets. Day-to-day responsibilities of the coordinator: Project Scheduling & Tracking: Assisting Project Managers (PMs) with maintaining schedules, tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and forecasting budgets. Outage & Construction Coordination: Identifying necessary grid outages and scheduling them well in advance to prevent service interruptions and conflicts with local crews. Permitting & Compliance: Securing and tracking required municipal permits, environmental clearances, and zoning variations before fieldwork begins. Stakeholder Engagement: Serving as the single point of contact for external parties, including township boards, large commercial customers, and local utility companies (e.g., telecom, gas, and water). Procurement & Logistics: Coordinating the delivery of heavy equipment (e.g., pad-mounted transformers) and managing construction contracts or submittals. Risk Mitigation: The ability to identify conflicts between existing infrastructure and proposed designs (or supply chain delays) to prevent construction bottlenecks.
