You will be the Aeronautical Engineer Sr Staff for the Aeronautics Engineering Team which is responsible for delivering breakthrough aircraft capabilities. What You Will Be Doing As the Aeronautical Engineer Sr Staff you will be responsible for advancing finite element analysis that underpins the design, development, and sustainment of our premier military aircraft programs. Your responsibilities will include: Develop and validate highfidelity finite element models for F35, P47, IFG, and ADP platforms. Conduct structural analyses, interpret results, and provide actionable recommendations to design teams. Partner with crossfunctional engineers to support design reviews and certification efforts. Mentor junior analysts and promote best practices in modeling and simulation. Identify opportunities to enhance analysis efficiency and accuracy. Further Information About This Opportunity MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance. Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering - Proficient in using FEA pre/post processors Altair Hypermesh, MSC Patran, and TMP SLIM/Vision - Proficient in using FEA solver MSC Nastran - Proficient in using CATIA V5/V6 and 3DX Software - Previous experience with leading, supervising, and training technical team members in FEA techniques - Ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance, therefore, U.S. Citizenship is required Desired Skills: - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Ability to work in collaborative and team based environment - Proficient in Microsoft Office - Experience with project budgets, schedules, and performance - Proficient in Unix/Linux computer operating system environments - Previous Experience with Lockheed Martin Advanced Development Programs is highly desired - Previous experience with Lockheed Martin F-35 FEA tools, methods, and procedures is highly desired Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
