IAM Project Manager JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: IAM Project Manager Location: Boston, MA and Princeton, NJ (Hybrid) Employment Type: Contract POSITION OVERVIEW
The IAM Project Manager is accountable for the quality and delivery of the project scope assigned. This role schedules, reports, and drives tasks through implementation; creates schedules and timelines; and manages and tracks deliverables. The Project Manager will lead the IAM workstream supporting large-scale application migrations to AWS, Microsoft Azure, and strategic data centers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Review acceptance criteria with the client for each project phase and milestone
Build a project schedule with detailed tasks, activities, task dependencies, and resources identified
Conduct project updates and risk assessments and maintain a project RAID log
Provide regular project status report(s) to a mutually agreed upon set of project stakeholders at a mutually agreed upon frequency
Identify and classify project risks and develop a mitigation strategy
Oversee the IAM team delivering standard IAM patterns and implementation across authentication, authorization, secret management, identity governance, and privileged access management
Coordinate IAM integration outcomes for approved backlog items, including configuration, implementation, and documentation
Manage stakeholder communication and ensure optimized collaboration with dependent application teams
Ensure alignment with enterprise standards and operational models
Support migration readiness and cutover activities for IAM controls
Track and report on IAM workstream progress, risks, and issues
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
7+ years of experience in IT project management, preferably in enterprise migration programs
Strong understanding of Identity and Access Management concepts and technologies, including:
Privileged Access Management: CyberArk, HashiCorp Vault
Authentication/Identity Providers (IDP): ForgeRock, RSA
User Access & Entitlement Management: SailPoint, ESF (Enterprise Security Framework)
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and backlog management
Proficiency in project management tools and techniques (scheduling, RAID logs, status reporting)
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Experience working in financial services or highly regulated industries preferred
PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification preferred
Experience with cloud migrations (AWS, Azure) preferred
