Project Manager - Surgical Services (Temporary/Hybrid)

The Surgical Services Project Manager provides planning, leadership and implementation services for key projects and refines crucial business processes for surgical service specialties. The Project Manager provides consultative and analytical support for these projects and processes and is accountable for the quality and outcomes. This is a temporary, non-benefited role with a projected 3-6 month duration. Primary Responsibilities:
- Provides strategic analysis and business planning support to evaluate opportunities to reduce costs and improve patient services.
- Prepares special and recurring reports and analyses, internalization studies, and business case development updates.
- Partners with stakeholders on both internal and external financial indicators and develops processes to ensure total capture.
- Optimizes use of available information and expertise to support effective decision-making by senior leaders.
- Contributes to operational planning by conducting studies and reporting findings, as well as participating and presenting in special committees and/or projects.
- Efficiently plans and prioritizes own and others' work through drafting project engagement work plans for assigned work streams.
- Anticipates project issues, weighs practical considerations in addressing issues, and seeks input from leaders to resolve.
- Develops multiple innovative and creative solutions to solve problems. Applies experience from previous projects to analyze an issue or build a solution. Structures conclusions and recommendations of analysis to facilitate decision making.
- Structures, creates, and presents formal client communications which are clear, succinct, and compelling.
- Identifies requirements of "solution" to meet multi-faceted business needs and develop conceptual designs. Evaluates options with client to design deliverables that reflect client needs and intended audience.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration or other related discipline.
- Three (3) years experience in healthcare administration, financial analysis, or another related field.
- Three (3) plus years managing projects in an integrated health care system or other health care setting.
- Ability to analyze, integrate and use quantitative data to make informed decisions about quality improvement.
- Ability to attend to details, prioritize and complete multiple tasks independently in a fast-paced environment and follow agreed upon timeline.
- Demonstrated understanding of clinical and operational processes - clinical competency requirements and scope of practice concepts.
- Excellence in customer service, service recovery and complaint resolution skills.
