We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Research Project Manager to support and oversee complex clinical, behavioral, epidemiological, and translational research initiatives led by Dr. Doris Hansen. This role is ideal for a research professional who thrives in a collaborative academic healthcare environment and is passionate about improving patient outcomes through research excellence.
Position Highlights
As a Research Project Manager, you will oversee research protocols conducted by Dr. Hansen both at Moffitt and at external research sites. This role combines project management, protocol oversight, regulatory coordination, grant support, and research operations leadership.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Managing day-to-day operations for multiple research protocols.
- Coordinating study timelines, IRB submissions, and sponsor communications.
- Leading data management activities and quality assurance processes.
- Assisting with grant submissions, manuscripts, abstracts, and presentations.
- Supporting protocol development and implementation.
- Collaborating with research staff, investigators, and external partners.
- Monitoring regulatory compliance and audit readiness.
- Supervising and coordinating research activities across teams and sites.
This role requires exceptional organizational skills, independent judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced research environment.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Healthcare Administration, Science, or related field
OR
- Bachelor's degree in a related field with additional relevant research experience.
Experience:
- 5+ years of research project management experience in clinical, behavioral, epidemiological, or scientific research
- Experience managing research protocols and coordinating multidisciplinary projects
- Strong data management, communication, and organizational skills
Preferred:
- Supervisory experience
- Grant writing experience
- Experience within academic medicine or oncology research environments
