Civil Design Engineer

Civil Design Engineer (EIT) Denver, CO A well-established civil engineering consulting firm is hiring a Civil Design Engineer to support a growing portfolio of land development projects across the Denver metro area. This is a strong opportunity for an early-career engineer looking to build a solid technical foundation while gaining exposure to a wide range of project types. This role is well suited for someone who wants to stay hands-on with design, develop technical depth, and gradually take on more responsibility within project teams. You will work closely with experienced engineers and project managers, contributing directly to project delivery while continuing to build your skill set. What you'll be doing Support the design and execution of land development projects including commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments Assist with grading, drainage, utility layout, and stormwater management design Prepare construction documents and detailed plan sets using AutoCAD Civil 3D Collaborate with project managers and senior engineers to develop design solutions and meet client objectives Coordinate with internal disciplines and support communication with external stakeholders Assist with entitlement and permitting processes across local Colorado jurisdictions Contribute to technical calculations, engineering reports, and supporting documentation What they're looking for 1 to 4 years of civil engineering experience or strong relevant internship experience EIT certification required, with intent to pursue PE licensure Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and familiarity with site design workflows Exposure to land development projects, ideally within the Colorado market Basic understanding of drainage design, grading, and utility systems Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to work in a team environment Why this role Clear path toward PE licensure with consistent mentorship and support Stable backlog of projects across the Denver market Opportunity to gain experience across multiple project types and jurisdictions Team-oriented environment with defined processes and accessible leadership If you are early in your career and looking for a role that offers both technical development and long-term growth, this is a strong platform to build from.
