Job Description

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Plano, TX Pennington, NJ or Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

Our client is forming a new Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team and is seeking experienced engineers to establish SRE practices from the ground up. This is a unique opportunity to influence and set the culture for a new team focused on driving reliability and enhancing the customer experience. The ideal candidate will be an inquisitive problem-solver with the ability to code and confidentlymunicate with business stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

Establish and maintain Critical User Journeys (CUJs), Service Level Indicators (SLIs), and Service Level Objectives (SLOs)

Conduct blameless post-mortems and manage error budgets

Develop and run role-playing and failure-testing scenarios

Drive reliability initiatives and advocate for the customer experience

Effectivelymunicate technical concepts and performance to business stakeholders

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)

Strong understanding of SLIs, SLOs, and related SRE principles

Ability to code in any language (e.g., Python, Go, Java, etc.)

Experience with DevOps and Agile methodologies

Proficiency with SQL

Excellentmunication and interpersonal skills with the ability to present with confidence

Desired skills:

Background in software development or DevOps

Pay range: $60 - $68 per hour
