Lead oversight and technical guidance,of project engineering solutions for mechanical and plumbing systems n commercial/industrial buildings; corroborates/coordinates with other design team members including client, site/civil and electrical engineers to ensure systems are integrated with the project s goals.
Lead the design, design oversight, and execution of HVAC, plumbing & process piping for infrastructure. Responsible for developing and coordinating system reliability plans through assessments, design review and power system studies.
System Design: Develop detailed engineering designs for systems, including the review/selection and specification of air handlers, exhaust fans, compressors, vacuum pumps, & plumbing fixtures.
Review & design of inhouse and outside consultants .
Prior experience in facilities infrastructure and/or utility-scale microgrids.
Execute mechanical designs in accordance with the company's standards and specific client standards where applicable.
Understanding of central HVAC and process equipment.
Maintains strong understanding of applicable Codes and Standards
Value engineering and buildability improvements that make impact to building performance.
Feasibility studies, detailed designs, and commissioning support for major infrastructure.
Highquality technical review and occassional outputs including layouts, specifications, datasheets, and P&IDs.
Equipment sizing and specification across pumps, blowers, valves, screening, dosing, and odour control systems.
Site investigations and engagement with internal contractors, and suppliers.
Early integration of constructability and commissioning into design solutions.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
15 years experience and designing electrical systems in high performance facilities.
Proficient in computer use and software s including but not limited to; AutoCAD, Revit, Excel, Word, Bluebeam, Navisworks.
Communication skills sufficient to work directly with directors, managers, and customers, so professionalism is necessary.
Background in engineering design of electrical systems as well as the components of distribution
Ability to use good judgement and make decisions with authority.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Experience in execution of large-scale, multi-year capital projects
Professional Engineering license is a plus.
Demonstrated success developing direct reports through effective leadership and the setting of realistic but challenging goals
Experience with construction and renovation projects. Aerospace and defense industry requiring adherence to specific ICDs and DoD construction standards is a plus
Proficiency with construction design software solutions such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam Revu
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $132962 - $226035
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
