GovCIO is currently hiring for an Computer Systems Engineer/Architect to support Special Operions communicion. This position will be in Hawaii and will be an onsite position

Responsibilities:

Ghers informion concerning the capabilities of Company products; investiges the technical capabilities of Company products and competing equipment and/or solutions; stays abreast of developments in hardware and software. Generes quantifiable requirements based on customer description, system planning and design, and ensures requirements comply through formal verificion methods. Transles high level product development stregies into network and system requirement specificions and works with other engineering disciplines to develop lower level detailed implemention requirements. Establishes and coordines development of standards, practices, and procedures as reled to the overall network and system development. Designs interfaces and brings network and system elements together so they work as a whole. Assesses performance using evaluion criteria and technical performance measures. Customer liaison and support for business development activities and to understand and shape requirements.

  • Develop and implement QoS for a voice/video/da network environment
  • Use network/applicion performance management tools to troubleshoot, analyze, test, and provide recommended solutions for performance problems
  • Develops and generes conceptual, logical, and physical network architectures, resulting in documents and drawings, testing analyses, test plans, and risk assessments to ensure sound architecture
  • Provide operional support services for WAN and LAN technologies
  • Plans network layouts and configures systems to user environments
  • Analyzes network topologies and traffic, and capacity requirements
  • Work with DOD customers to fill informion gaps and communice architecture and technical solutions
  • Supports the acquisition of hardware and software, as well as needed
  • Develop detailed logical designs in areas of: Gigabit Ethernet Switching/Routing (EIGRP & BGPv4), QOS, DMVPN, IPv4 & Multicast architecture
  • Perform Network Engineering and Architecture Duties for a Wide Area Networking environment
Qualificions:

High School with 9+ years (or commensure experience)

Required Skills and Experience

  • Clearance Required: TS/SCI
  • CompTIA Security+ Plus Certificion
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certificion (copy presented with applicion)
  • 3+ years of Cisco Routing and Switching experience; demonstred technical proficiency in LAN, WAN, Network Management, and Security. Knowledge of DHCP, DNS,
  • Demonstred ability to handle several projects simultaneously
  • Must have a strong, proven background with senior-level experience with Cisco Routing and Switching
  • Strong tention to detail, good documention skills, and ability to write clear, concise project reports
  • Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
  • Demonstred ability to function with minimal instruction or supervision, or as a part of a larger team reporting to formal project management. Strong communicion and organizional skills
  • Intermedie to high-level experience in designing and implementing enterprise-level networks
  • Intermedie to expert-level knowledge of EIGRP, BGP, QOS, DMVPN, and other WAN-based technologies
  • 3+ years of Network Integrion Experience
  • Demonstred experience with Layer 2, 3, and 4 networking - Advanced knowledge and experience with EIGRP and BGP routing protocols
  • Advanced knowledge of multicast protocols/architecture
  • Experience with IPv4
  • Current and active U.S. Passport
  • Current and active U.S. Driver's License
  • Must have the ability to wear personal protective equipment, including a protective mask, ballistic helmet, body armor, and chemical/biological protective garments
  • Medically/Physically fit for deployment with U.S. Military Forces Outside the Continental United Stes (OCONUS) under the provisions of USCENTCOM Medical Standards

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Informion Technology or reled fields
  • Experience support U.S. Special Operions
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and working with Agile teams using collaborion tools such as Gitlab.
  • Experience with working with CM tools, including Gitlab, Git-centric, and CI/CD workflows
