THE WORK
Lockheed Martin is looking for a dedicated level 3 Mission Operations Systems Engineer with a secret clearance to join the Space Based Infrared System (SBIRS) Next Generation Geosynchronous (NGG) team working onsite in Boulder, CO.

In this role you will:

Support the Next Gen OPIR GEO (NGG) contract as the Flight Operations Support (FOS) Readiness Lead supporting readiness development, execution and Launch and Early Orbit test (L&EOT) execution at the factory in Sunnyvale, California
Lead a team of systems engineers in planning the daily activities to be executed during L&EOT at the operations site
Lead the development and maintenance of the L&EOT planning concept of operations
Participate in rehearsal planning as a key contributor to ensure execution success
Interact and provide leadership with engineers from various programs and subcontractors to ensure launch and early orbit test success from both a technical and administrative perspective
Participate in training exercises at classified facilities (in person) as the planning lead to ensure the technical experts understand execution sequence and script operation
Maintain Launch Readiness status, proactively identify and resolve issues brief status to LM and Customers
Support product deliverables for system events
Work overtime and weekends when necessary to support mission goals
Work rotating shifts during rehearsals and L&EOT and be on-call as needed

Experience with launching high value Class-A satellite systems
Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills, strong social skills, and ability to build consensus among peers while buildings solid relationships and trusts with internal team members and customers
